What World of Terpenes covers
World of Terpenes is a plain-language reference on terpenes: what they are, how each major terpene behaves, what research says about their effects, and how they show up in plants, food, and cannabis. It is written for curious readers, consumers, and product people who want clear answers without hype.
Articles profile individual terpenes such as myrcene, limonene, pinene, and linalool, explain how terpenes are sourced and extracted, compare what is known and not known about their effects, and track cannabis and hemp policy where it affects terpene products. Strain and product guides look at how terpene profiles shape aroma and experience.
Who writes it
Articles are produced by the World of Terpenes editorial desk. We do not publish under individual bylines today; every article is published under the publication's name and is accountable to the standards described on our editorial standards page.
How articles are researched
Articles are built from primary sources wherever they exist: peer-reviewed research, statutes, court documents, and regulator publications. Health-related articles link to the studies they discuss, and the wording stays careful: compounds are described as "studied for" or "associated with" an effect, never as proven treatments. Where the evidence is early or mixed, the article says so. Internal links are for further reading; they are never counted as sources.
Corrections
If an article gets something wrong, we want to fix it. Send the article URL and what needs correcting, with a source where possible. Confirmed errors are corrected in the article, and significant changes are noted in the text.
